In addition, they represent a way for citizens to actively contribute to the energy transition process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being in different places, they become part of the so-called virtual solar power plants, where the cooperative acts as an aggregator of energy production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In energy cooperatives, government is democratic, according to the system of one member \u2013 one vote.
